![]() WOW! Microsoft has only been available on Windows :-(ĭownside. I tip my hat in great respect to that achievement. Not many games can make that claim, but X Plane developers are on top of their game. ![]() The airplane details are excellent, the graphics on a whole is excellent, the availability of the game is exceptional being on Windows, Mac and Linux. I've enjoyed playing the game and running sorties everywhere. The developers of X Plane timing was exceptional and they dominated the market during that time. I don't know what happened with Microsoft Flightsim team, but there was a large gap between flight sim releases, and there was an even longer time when the "new" release didn't really bring anything new to the game. With that said, Microsoft should be ashamed to let anyone come in the market and outshine them in any way with flight simulator games and that is exactly what X Plane did. To say that I'm a flightsim vet is the understatement of the decades. I still have every "original" copy of every version of Microsoft flight sim I've bought since 88. ![]() Unlike many who are relative newcomers to the flightsim world, I've been playing Microsoft flight since 1988 with it was a crappy 6 color game with only the Cessna or learjet 45 to choose from. So no one gets confused and think my comments are one sided, I have both XPlane 11 and the latest flight sim from Microsoft. ![]()
